The Missions Ministry of Church of the Highlands seeks to empower God’s people to be on mission. The Mission statement of our church is “Reaching Our Community, America, and The World for Jesus Christ.” It comes straight from Acts 1:8: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth”

As believers we are called to go across the street, across the states and across the seas . . . the only question is “Will I answer the call, and how soon?”

We sponsor missionaries through prayer and financial support. Also, we partner with C3 Global, Prestonwood Network, and the North American/International Mission Boards to reach our neighbors and the nations for Christ.

In 2015, our church's mission trips are to the following places:

  • Bahamas
  • Thailand
  • Cambodia
  • Peru

We sponsor a total of 44 missionaries. We are emphasizing missionaries of the week for whom to pray.

The Lethers Family: Dan, Sherri, and their kids serve in Togo, West Africa, with the ABWE Mission Board. They just arrived in Togo this summer to serve with Hope Radio after language school in France for one year. Their prayer needs are funding for Hope Radio and good health. Sherri is recovering from Malaria.

The Robinsons: Serve and Terri serve with the ABWE Mission Board. The first 11 years they spent in Nicaragua, and now they serve in construction for Christian ministries. Presently they’re in Bangladesh, working on a hospital. Their request: Pray for good weather so the building can be completed. Terry Family: The Terry Family serves with the Global Faith Mission Agency, working with youth in Liberia. They have been in Liberia for just a few months and ask prayer for the spiritual oppression relative to that culture. Also, pray for wisdom in reaching children. We were in Ukraine 16 years, and we have now been in Bulgaria about 18 months. Our most urgent need is for open doors. Bulgarians are quite friendly on the surface, but very suspicious underneath. We were used to cold responses to our work in Ukraine, but it is even colder here. Pray that we will not be discouraged. Thanks for praying! David and Penny Winget Woodard Family: The Woodards have been serving in Arequipa, Peru for 13 years. They help plant churches and are about to lead their latest church plant to have its own Peruvian pastor and on its own. The country is about 85%%-90% catholic. They ask for your prayers for the people to be open to the Gospel and for boldness in sharing it.
